Welcome to the NWR Packwood Solo II Week!
August 15th thru 24th

The NWR is proud to host not one, but TWO national level events at
the beautiful Hampton Mills site located in Packwood Washington.
The NWR is hosing the Packwood National Tour and the Packwood Prosolo on
back to back weekends. Also, there is are several days of
Evolution Schools scheduled between the two events. Here's a short
list of the events taking place during this week:
- SCCA National Tour
(15th - 17th, Friday thru Sunday)
- Evolution Schools (19th -
21st,
Tuesday thru Thursday)
- SCCA ProSolo(22nd - 24th, Friday thru Sunday)

This new venue promises large courses on a smooth
but grippy asphalt surface surrounded by incredible natural beauty and a
great outdoor experience! It's sure to be
two great days of national level competition with you local friends and
all the out of town guest!

For those considering a trip to one or both of the Packwood events
this year, there has been a change in operations at the Hampton
Mills site. The site is no longer being actively used, and the
owners have given us permission to allow RV's to stay on site during
our events. RV's must be entirely self contained; no power, water
or sanitation services are available on site. No draining/dumping
of any fluids.
Since our fees for the site are given to the local community we feel
that a nominal donation of $20 per weekend should be paid by those
staying on site. The donation will go to one of the Packwood
community charities, (Displaced Loggers Fund, Adopt a family, etc.)
At this time, tent camping is still not allowed.
An RV code of conduct will be provided at registration, this will
list the specific rules and restrictions of the site. Nothing
onerous, other than No Alcohol
Special Note:
Packwood is a small community and our presence will definitely
impact the area. However, Packwood is busy this time of year with
tourism due to the proximity to Mt Rainer and the area, so
accommodations are limited. Please refer to the "Lodging" page for more
info on where to stay. |
