SPECIAL EVENT NOTE:

In the past we have seen low participation numbers in the PM session for Packwood events later in the season especially in Packwood with high temperatures. This is typically magnified for Event #7 since we have the Core Workers Practice on Saturday which is invitation only.

A decision has been made to change the format for our last event in Packwood on 8/19. We will be running ALL competition classes in two sessions in the AM ONLY.

ALL competitors will be allowed to run a second session which will be held after the lunch break as long as we have enough help cover worker positions and tear down.  Please review the information below for more information:

SCHEDULE:

One Registration session will be held from 7:45 am Ė 8:45 a.m.

9:00 a.m. Novice Driverís Meeting

9:15 a.m. Open Driverís Meeting

First car on course 9:45 a.m.

There will be a 30 min. lunch break between Group B and C

EVENT COST:        $35 for pre-registered entrants

                            $40 for non-pre-registered entrants

$30 for second session of the day (must sign up for second session at registration).

EVENT FORMAT:

Competition classes will not be broken into two halves for the day as usual. ALL competition class runs will take place during Group A and B.  There will be ONLY one opportunity for registration and tech in the morning.  However,ALL entrants will be allowed to pay for two sessions, and run a second time in the afternoon, as long as we have a total of at least 30 people, plus one waiver and one Safety Steward signed up for Group C by the end of registration. Entrants running a second session should register in ITO2 or TO and will be required to work again.

Those running a second time in Group C will not be able to get a pre-assigned work assignment for the afternoon session. Group C worker positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis during registration. Anyone staying to run in Group C will also be asked to help with tear down.

*RUN/WORK ORDER (SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON PARTICIPATION):

Group A:  S2, NS4, Novice, IST, NS5, NST, NS2, NS3, OPAXL, NSPAX

Group B:  OPAX, S3, SL, NSPAXL, S1, CAM, NS1

*ITO1 and TO will be placed based on open worker positions

MISC. INFO

Please pre-register for two classes if you plan on running two sessions. You will receive BOTH cards at registration, so it will be important to use the correct card for each session. Meaning the class you are running for competition points should be used FIRST.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Gretchen

2018 Solo Director
