Reports

NWR Board Report (Gretchen Weidemann) – No report at this time.

Treasurer’s Report (Kristi Brown) – We have monies. Some items yet to be paid due to problem with SCCA’s billing system and BSCC rental cost.

NORPAC Report (Jessy Gauthier) – Convention Jan 17-19. There is a possibility that there may be some subsidy necessary for Jessy to attend. Gretchen asked her to bring the total she is spending not covered by National Office to our next meeting for final approval.  She is working with SOCAL focal to schedule a joint meeting.  Group suggested that she ask Nationals about getting reliable information communicated at nationals, specifically broadcast into the pits. They need a much better FM system. Looking for total event attendees for NWR. NWR specialty class IST. These numbers are available on the Treasurer’s report.

WWSCC Report (Keith Brown) – Rules meeting next month for WWSCC,

Equipment Report (Kevin Dietz) – Bus is in mothball mode at this point. Kevin researched a wireless scoreboard. $175.00, plus battery and charger for $75. Total cost about $300.00.

Also suggested we purchase Yagi antennas for the timing lights. That would be another $135.00.

Motion made to approve a total cost of 500.00. Moved and approved.

Recruitment Report (Joey Jones/Crystal Stegman) – Crystal working with leaders of local car shows and car clubs. Leaning towards the events that are race focused since show style people don’t seem to be interested in racing. We also have permission to post schedule and info at the local kart tracks. Recruited a couple of students at the Street Survivor class to come out and continue their driving education.

Old Business

NEW Solo Director 2019 - Gretchen and Tim are stepping down. Who will replace them? 5 year term is over. Time for a new team to step up and figure out how to run the Solo program. This means we need a new Solo Director and a Secretary. Gretchen and Tim will gladly stick around to help out the next team, but we really need some new volunteers to step up.  Gretchen will stay in position through the end of January, which covers the rules proposal process, and also the Conehead Banquet.  Tim may be stepping down at the end of the year.  IF you are interested in either of these positions, please let Gretchen know.  She can be reached at nwrsolodirector@gmail.com.

Coneheads Banquet – Jessy G. has agreed to organize it again. Bahama Breeze is still viable, Emerald downs is looking at about $40 per head.  The group discussed pricing and prefer to keep the price at $35 if possible and would prefer Bahama Breeze if things can be rearranged to make a little more space available for seating.

2019 Schedule – Gretchen distributed final 2019 schedule.  One open practice at Bremerton in February.

New Business

2019 Specialty Chiefs – Welcome our newest 2019 Specialty Chiefs - Crystal Stegman, Chief of Recruitment

Charlie Morales - Chief of Registration.  If there is some position that you are interested in doing, please let Gretchen know. Current Chiefs have first right of refusal, but she would be happy to reach out if there is something you’d really like to learn.  Current Chiefs should let her know IF they decide to stay again for another season, and we will need to start looking for new volunteers in January.

Nominations for WOTY and NOTY – Please provide written nominations to Gretchen by the December meeting. Currently has one nomination for each award.  Final vote will take place at December meeting.
