Doo Wop ClubRally

The Doo Wop began in 1988 to provide the best pure stage format rallies in the country for both beginning and experienced rallyists.

The 2004 Doo Wop offers two co-efficient two ClubRally events, totaling approximately 82 stage miles in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties near the Washington coast.

The Doo Wop takes place on roads owned by seven different landowners.  Permission to use these roads is largely due to thank you letters written by rally competitors, workers and fans following previous events.  That practice along with financial support for local community businesses, such as the Taholah Mercantile, local restaurants and motels helps to insure our continued road use.

Events: The Doo Wop is sanctioned by the Northwest Region of the SCCA, and organized by Team Vanquish. The events qualify for the 2004 NorPac ClubRally Championship for drivers and co-drivers, and the 2004 Northwest Region Rally Championship. The events adhere to the SCCA ClubRally Rules and supplements thereto.  A tentative schedule is available.

Entry: Entry to the Doo Wop events requires: completed entry form, prepaid entry fee, valid state drivers license, valid SCCA membership, valid SCCA ClubRally or ProRally license for driver and co-driver, proof of vehicle liability insurance for rally car and service vehicles, and valid vehicle registration.  No entries will be accepted on the day of the event!

Entry Fee is $250.00. Make checks payable to: Team Vanquish. Mail to: 794 Geissler Rd., Montesano, WA 98563

Classes: Northwest Region classes will be grouped into Class I, Class II, Class III, and Geo Metro. The class you initially enter on your entry form will determine the class in which you will compete for the Doo Wop Series. Competitors will be awarded ClubRally championship points in accordance with current ClubRally competition rules. Supplemental instructions will be posted on the Doo Wop Rally Web along with other pertinent information.

Awards: Awards will be presented at the Oakville Grange on Sunday evening.

In Grays Harbor County, local food banks play a vital role in the survival of many families.  Local unemployment is the worst in Washington.  The Oakville food bank pays their rent each year from your generous donations and the proceeds from our awards banquet.  The North River food bank in Brooklyn feeds a large number of the children at the North River School.  Your contributions are deeply appreciated.
