Spectator
location 1 Stage 1 and 2, Pico:
From Seattle or Portland
take I-5 to Olympia exit 104. Go west toward the coast and exit the
freeway at Montesano. Coming off the freeway turn right on Main and
proceed north to Pioneer Ave. (From Hoquiam/Aberdeen take the Devonshire
Road exit to the left and proceed to Pioneer.) Turn left on Pioneer and
proceed west to the Wynooche Valley Road.
Turn
right on Wynooche Valley Road, in approximately one-half mile turn right on
Clearview Drive (was Sylvia Creek A-Line). (Note: if you reach Val Vista Road, you've gone
too far!) Follow Clearview Drive to the stage entrance, then follow the directions of spectator marshals. No entry to this spectator
area will be allowed after 9:45 AM. The stage starts at 10:53 and runs in
the reverse direction at 12:16 PM.
Spectator
location 2 Stage 4 and 5, Brooklyn:
From Seattle take I-5 to Olympia exit
104. Take Highway 101 and then Highway 8 west toward the coast. Exit the
freeway at Elma and go south on Highway 12 to Porter, turn right and cross the
Chehalis River, in less than 1/2 mile turn left on the South Bank Road. After
about 15 miles turn right on Gerrard Creek Road (well marked) and follow the
signs to Brooklyn. In about 3 miles
bear right onto the Oakville-Brooklyn Road follow the road until the pavement
ends and the stage starts. Follow the directions of spectator marshals, drive
to a spectator area along the road.
From Montesano you can reach the west end of the Oakville-Brooklyn Road by going south on Highway 107, turn left on Highway 101, pass through Arctic, cross the bridge and turn left onto the North River Road. Follow this winding road 20 miles and pass the Brooklyn Tavern. When the pavement ends you have reached the stage. Follow the directions of spectator marshals, drive to a spectator area along the road. Please be in place by 2 PM, the cars will start on this stage at 3:02 PM. Dress warmly, bring rain gear, food and water, you will not be allowed to leave this stage until all rally cars and sweep vehicles have passed. This stage will be run twice, the second run starts at 4:05 PM.

Spectator
location 3
Stage 1, Failor Lake:
From Seattle or Portland take I-5 to Olympia exit 104. Go west toward
the coast for 50 miles. Follow
Highway 101 through Aberdeen to Hoquiam. Follow signs north on Highway
101 toward Forks. Approximately seven miles north of Hoquiam look
for the Failor Lake Road sign. Turn left onto Failor Lake Road. The
spectator area is 500 yards from this left turn, very close to Highway 101. Park along one side of
the road and walk to the spectator area, please do not block the road. This
is the first stage of the day, the
first car will start this stage at 8:53 AM. Cars
come into view from your left go through a gate and turn sharply left.
The exit from this corner is off camber, stay alert interesting things happen.
To reach the
Taholah stages from the Failor Lake stage, return south on Highway 101 look
for signs to Copalis Crossing / Pacific Beach. Turn right and proceed
approximately 20 miles, through Copalis Crossing to Pacific Beach. In
Pacific Beach turn right on Highway 109 and proceed north through Moclips to
the Quinault Indian Reservation. You have lots of time, stop for lunch,
walk on the beach, but please do not exceed the posted speed
limits or transport or consume alcoholic beverages on the Quinault
Reservation. Follow the directions below to reach stages 4 and
5 from the town of Taholah.

location 4
Stages 4,5, Taholah:
From Seattle or Portland take I-5 to Olympia exit
104. Go west toward the coast for 50 miles. Follow Highway 101
through Central Park and Aberdeen to Hoquiam. In Hoquiam turn left onto
Ocean Beach Road (Highway 109) and follow this west and then north to the
Quinault Indian Reservation and the town of Taholah. Do
not exceed the posted speed limits or transport or consume alcoholic beverages
on the Quinault Reservation.
From the
town of Taholah
continue north across the Quinault River bridge and follow the gravel road for
less than a mile to the start of the stage. Spectator Safety Marshals will direct
you to a right turn. Follow the stage for approximately three miles to
the spectator
area. The first mile of this road is very rough, reasonable ground
clearance is strongly recommended. The spectator area is on the stage
road and the cars will run past twice. The first car will start this
stage at 1:12 PM, after the first pass the cars will regroup and run the
stage in the reverse direction starting at 2:45 PM. You
will not be allowed leave until all of the cars and sweep vehicles have
passed. Remember to dress warmly, pack rain gear, food and water, but no
alcoholic beverages.
