The 1997 Reno (Fernley) SCCA
Divisional PRO Rally
Organized and Conducted by the Northwest Region of the Sports Car
Club of America
The Event:
The 1997 Reno (Fernley) Divisional PRO Rally is a one-day event
consisting of 98 stage miles in an overall 192 mile event. The
event is part of the NORPAC Divisional PRO Rally Championship and
the Northwest Region of the SCCA Regional Championship. The rally
will run on Bureau of Land Management roads in the area north of
Fernley, Nevada which is 30 miles east of Reno on U.S. Highway
80. The surface on the first, third, fourth and sixth stages is
rock and gravel. The second and fifth stages are typical desert
dirt and sand. The third and fourth stages have an elevation
change of about 1500 feet. Service will follow stages two, three
and four. The rally will start and finish in Fernley.

Entry and Fees:
Entry into the rally will require valid documentation as required
by the SCCA National PRO Rally Rules, including but not limited
to SCCA membership and drivers license, valid state drivers
license, car documentation and proof of insurance for the car and
service vehicle. The cost of entry is $225.00 in U.S. funds prior
to December 6th, 1997 and $250.00 December 6th, 1997. Entry will
be returned if the event is cancelled or if the entrant's entry
is refused for any reason.
Awards:
Awards will be presented to the winners of the three Divisional
Classes and for the first three places in the Northwest Region
Championship.

The headquarters motel for the rally is The Truck Inn in Fernley.

and restaurants with good food.
