'I'IIE EVEN'I'

The ORV Sprints are sanctioned and organized by the Northwest Region of the SCCA. The events qualify for the 1998 NorPac Division and the Northwest Region Championship for drivers and co-drivers. The event will adhere to 1998 National and Divisional PRO Rally Rules for a coefficient 1 and supplements thereto.

THE ENTRY

Entry requires a paid entry fee, valid drivers license, valid SCCA Divisional or National PRO Rally License for driver and co-driver. Valid vehicle proof of ownership, valid proof of insurance and a completed entry form. The entry fee for one day or both days is still $99.00. Checks should be made payable to the SCCA Northwest Region Rally account and mailed to Navonne Waterhouse, 2035 Stevens St. , Shelton, WA 98584. Fax entries to John Forespring at 360-956-9041 and pay at the event. The ORV Park is located approximately 18 miles toward Aberdeen from Olympia on HWY 8. Drivers will use assigned car numbers and run in the Northwest Region classes 1, 2, 3 and Rallylite in addition to the Divisional classes 4wd, O2 and U2.

THE EVENT DESCRIPTION

The event will use the rally sprint format of one car on the course at a time with the class 3 drivers starting first and the cars being timed to the hundredth of a minute. The signage will be the FISA signs using only the red starters sign, the tan cross hatch end of control sign, the red checkered flag flying finish sign and the red stop sign. Cars are expected to line up in the start order published and be ready to start as soon as the car on the course finishes the stage. There will be a $4.00 fee per person the enter the park and camping ($6) is available and encouraged. There will be a meeting for the membership of the SCCA Northwest Region followed by a barbecue on Saturday evening for the workers and competitors at the park. Donations for a worker drawing are welcomed!

SERVICE

Service is in the fenced parking lot area. You must keep your area neat and clean up any spills. Remember, the speed limit in the park is 5 mph. Violators will be penalized!
