2005 VOLUNTEERS OF THE YEAR

Course Marshall - William Bradley, Colorado Region, in recognition of his service to his home track and four others. He also handles Course Marshalling duties for the Denver Grand Prix.

Emergency Services - Mike Marshall, Cal Club Region, for showing full support of his region by working 100 percent of the races, SCCA and not, this year.

 Flagging & Communications - Barbara Lissow, Finger Lakes Region, in recognition of her organization leadership and recruitment, which led to the largest number of new F&C recruits in several years.

Grid - Karen Peterson, New England Region, for her display of demeanor and professionalism as a Grid Chief.

Pit Marshall - Lauren Robison, Washington, D.C. Region, in recognition of her overall dedication to racing and her recruiting efforts in 2005

Race Chair - Bob Smethers & Bud Mansur; Oregon Region, for their leadership, recruitment and retention.

Registration - Rusty Clayton, Colorado Region, for her outstanding level of professionalism.

Starter - Jeff Slavik, Arizona Region, in recognition of his overall dedication to his region in all specialties and consummate skills in the starter’s stand.

Timing & Scoring - Gini Ragan, Kansas City Region, in recognition of her ability to adapt to new demands on her job, both Regionally and Divisionally.

Scrutineer - Bob Maples, Colorado Region, for his dedication to the specialty, his Region, his Division and SCCA overall.

Sound Control - Nancy Foster, Colorado Region, in recognition of her dedication, determination and inspiration to all specialties after working all events in her Division in 2005 while battling West Nile Virus.

Steward - Paula Spencer, Chicago Region, in recognition of her high-level customer service, participant advocacy and worker empathy.

Selected via random draw, William Bradley was also awarded the trip to the 2006 24 Hours of Le Mans.

February 4, 2006

Woolf Barnato Award - John Martinsen. Bellevue, WA

John is a NWR member and was was named as the 2006 recipient of the  SCCA’s highest honor given to the member who has made the most outstanding contribution to the Club and competition programs.

Mark Donohue Award - Kristian Skavnes, Sparta, NJ
