------------------------------------------------

A date at Bremerton Motorsports Park (BMP) recently opened up and NWR SCCA Drift was able to take advantage of this and has scheduled a drift event on Friday, May 30.

We will be the only ones using the track and that means we’re setting up course on the ‘Big’ end. This is likely the only drift event this year that will uses the prime south end of BMP and the course will be long and challenging!

Ditch work and come out for a full day (9 hours worth) of drifting!

Registration

Registration is not yet open! We are setting up an online prepay registration and will announce as soon as it is done (Hopefully on Monday the 19th). Thank you for your patience!

Pre-registration is required for this event, NO on-site registration

Due to current SCCA insurance limitations you must be 18 years old or older to drive in this event.

This is a non-spectator event for drivers only. The SCCA has specific rules and requirements that must be met to allow spectators at events. Since we do not have sufficient resources to meet these rules this event will be for drivers and pit crew (no gangs of friends) only. If you plan on bringing a pit person to help you they must also register to be allowed in the gate and will be required to help work the course as needed.

Rules

An event has to have rules right?

Well, here they are:

Prior to attending be sure to read both of these rules so you know what is expected of you and how the event will be run. Regardless of whether you read them they will be enforced so it is best to educate your self to avoid any situation that could potentially end your day early.

Notes

Here are a few things you need to know about SCCA Drift events before you come.

1. Rules
The SCCA Drift Rules and the NWR Regional supplemental rules tell you everything you need to know about what is required of you and your car to participate in this event. It is the driver’s responsibility to know and follow these rules. The purpose of these rules is to ensure that the event runs safely and smoothly. If they are not followed it could lead to an incident at the event that could potentially ruin the chances of having future events so your cooperation is required and appreciated.
2. Everyone works
The SCCA is a non-profit volunteer organization. This means we rely on volunteers to plan and staff the events and allows us to have events by drivers for drivers and keeps event fees low. That is why the rule is that every driver must complete their assigned work assignment. If you do not complete your assignment you will not be allowed back to future events. Don’t worry, helping out is fun and to our best to put you into your preferred work position.
3. Drive nice on the way to and from the event.
When driving to and from the event it is absolutely imperative that you obey all speed limits and traffic laws in the Bremerton area. The speed limit on Clifton Road from the mini-mart to the raceway is 30 miles per hour and is strictly enforced! Any excessive speeding could result in the loss of use of the site so drive slowly! We must positively represent the sport to everyone in order to ensure a successful future.

Don't miss this chance for a lot of seat time and an exclusive day of drifting the 'big' end of Bremerton! Get the day off work and watch for the registration to open some time shortly after Monday 5/19!
