Drivers’ Meeting Itinerary 2011

Keep meeting to 10-12 minutes!!!

Welcome drivers to location  (ad lib)

Series and Novice Sponsors

  • Solo series sponsor this year is Fordahl Motorsports
  • ProSolo series sponsor is Tight N Tidy
  • Novice sponsor is no one at this time (do not announce)

Site rules: Remind drivers we are at site out of generosity—sites are dwindling!

  • No alcohol until after event (Packwood) and no drugs ever
  • Be courteous of neighbors, town, and site
  • Pick up garbage around pit your pit area (even if not yours)
  • DO NOT SPEED in town (or neighborhood)—speeding ticket=NO DRIVING!
  • Define viewing area (behind cones/barriers)
  • Sani-cans: Not a garbage can, put down lids for proper ventilation, no food or drink…
  • Waivers: EVERYONE signs the waiver and hopefully you have the correct wrist band.  Grid and starter will be checking for correct wrist band

Grid rules and boundaries

No wheeled vehicles (accept wheelchairs), pets or children in grid.  Do not run.  Pay attention—don’t hold up the line/flow by not being at your car or truck.

Review course worker instructions

STRONG SUGGESTION:  Have the Novice Chair do it after the driver’s meeting to get the show on the road (it really is their job).  Should, however, announce the last three bullets to all.

  • Calling cones
  • Calling Gates
  • Hitting pointer cones
  • No sitting down on course
  • No texting, taking pictures, or cell phones on course
  • Photographers need a spotter (picture taking is an assigned job)

Call drivers to cars/grid and workers to check-in
