DRIFTING:

An overview of the NWR experience with the Drift program.
The goal of this presentation will be to highlight the success we've had over the last year and give some recommendations and guidance on how other regions can add drifting to their solo program.

E-CREW SEMINAR:

The Emergency Response Team (E-Crews) are groups of volunteers that work SCCA and other events where motor sports competitions are held.  In the world of litigation this is very important.  They not only volunteer to work races but spend time training for the worst case incidents at an event.

The E-Crew is made up of a driver, an EMT or paramedic, and once in awhile a medical doctor.  They are equipped to deal with crashes, fires, vehicle recoveries, injuries, and HIPPA laws reporting procedures. In off-road situations, they need to have 4-wheel drive vehicles and towing capabilities.

Many of our sanctioning vendors require off-duty ambulances on a standby basis at events.  The problem is that they have not been trained in other possible situations and have almost never extracted a patient through a roll cage.  They come to an competition, stand around all day, and get paid.  Our volunteers have been trained and know what to do and it costs little or nothing. E-Crews are active participants in the operation.

This break-out session is designed to give organizers and interested parties an overview of how to train, manage, and recruit E-Crew members.

SOLO SAFETY STEWARD TRAINING:

Interactive session to learn about all the aspects of safety at solo events and training needed to be a solo safety steward
